Ricordo alcune peculiarità dell'esercito Visigoto da NON trascurare :
- tutte le WB hanno BP4 e muovono di 6"
- le WB del Core possono schierarsi in colonna ... ... e pure sui fianchi!!!

- credo che le WB possano schierarsi sui fianchi solo se la Army List lo permette, altrimenti essendo HI devono schierarsi al centro.

- anche io pensavo di prendere i Visigoti, ma chi prima arriva...........se li tiene;

- è un esercito con molte risorse - Cav da 4, Cav da 5, WB, ma anche abbastanza truppe leggere SK e sopratutto LC;

- il punto debole lo vedo nel 2 di L, per cui non può sfruttare al max. queste truppe leggere.

Di seguito alcune note:

" There is no more mention of undisciplined charges made by Dismounted HC
and the tactic seems to have been less common so the (!) is absent from the
Nobles but is retained for the Skilpors who often had no body armour.
Skilpors can now dismount as FT 5(1)1 Key Unit Prot +1 Various/Bow.

should I tell you a secret? Why I take the visigoti? Simple reason: I don't have another army for this period! And: I am german, I play Germans! And I think, with this formation of the army I will have the most fun: hopp or top, rough and dirty, a quick victory or a fast dead!

One postscriptum: I think, if I meet the Langobards or the Abbasides, I will have a good chance. If I meet the Byzantines, my chances will be at 30%, but I had a match with my visigoths against byzantines 8 weeks ago, and so I know something, I have to do.

another question: will be the pairs of players drawn lots completely free or do possible historical opponents play also a role, at least in the first round?

Please do not misunderstand my question! All armies are written for the book Triumph of Cavalry, and should be playable against each other army of this book. I do not have a problem thereby. It would have interested me only the modus Operandi.
